Comtessa SA Z
About Comtessa SA Z
Comtessa SA Z was born this way – which is the right way: his direct ancestors are the brilliant Cornet Obolensky and Arielle. The 2020 mare Comtessa SA’s face is the spitting image of Cornet Obolensky’s. We can only hope that everything else of her will resemble of the great Cornet!
Cornet Obolensky has been a top ranked sire on the WBFSH Jumping Sire ranking for many years! Never before have we seen a stallion dominate all the international events in breeding and competition at such a degree. Today, his children and grand-children fly the Cornet Obolensky flag at the top level all over the globe. He sired the top horse of the FEI Ranking multiple times.
Arilelle’s oldest offsprings already competing up to 1.45m level, while Arielle herself jumped the most difficult 1.60m shows without a doubt, including the Göteborg World Cup Final with Abdullah Mohd Al Marri, but also many other 5* events with William Withaker.
Comtessa SA Z is currently competing in young horse classes with promising results and is showing steady, continuous development.

EXCEPTIONAL BLOODLINE
Cornet Obolensky was from Clinton’s first crop of foals. His dam, Rabanna van Costersveld was an advanced showjumper in Britain, and her sire Heartbreaker is one of the most successful sons of Nimmerdor
Cornet Obolensky dominates the scene in breeding and competition like no other stallion: his most successful son, Clooney, won the Silver at the World Championships in 2019 and the Gold at the European Championships!
Among his offspring are several title bearers such as world champions, World Cup winners and international GP winners
Cornet Obolensky’s jumping talent simply rocketed when teamed up with Marco Kutscher in the saddle. The pair qualified for the Bundeschampionat’s finals with scores other athletes can only dream of. With a casual ease they conquered the world’s most difficult courses as if it were child’s play
Rabanna van Costersveld is the half sister to the BWP stallion, Vivaldo van Costerfeld (by Clinton) who sold for €150,000 and competed successfully with Roger Yves Bost winning 1.50 classes at Bordeaux, Paris and Goteborg, and a Grand Prix at Arezzo
Bred by Acord II, Arielle jumped herself on the highest level with William Whitaker and Abdullah Mohd Al Marri. Her carefulness and great mentality resulted in an impressive palmares, such as the CSIO4*-W 1.60m Nations Cup win and a 1.60m CSI5*-W Mechelen GP World Cup win in the same year
Arielle has done more than enough on the showground, now it is the breeders’ responsibility to bring out to best from her breeding career and it’s on the right path with offspring like Hourra de Réville (President), Plaisir de Réville (Kannan), Just Top de Septon Z (Jenson Van’t Meulenhof) or Gavotte de Réville (President)
