Scuderia SA is proud to rely on the collaboration with Avantea, the leader fertility clinic in Europe for equine assisted reproduction. The cutting-edge technology for elite horses allows to produce embryos in vitro and be fertilized using ICSI. We also put a huge emphasis on the importance of the good recipient mare.
The surrogate mares make sure that the competing horses are not interrupted in their busy work schedule. Our infrastructural background allows our foals to grow strong in huge paddocks all day and the mares to enjoy their retirement while caring for the next generation.

Scuderia Sonnevend works with top-ranked WBFSH sires and, through strong international partnerships, is often first to offer embryos from elite mares entering their breeding careers. Our goal is to combine proven genetics with modern bloodlines and move the sport forward.

Team Sonnevend offers embryos you simply cannot find elsewhere. We work with top-ranked WBFSH sires and are often the first to access embryos from elite mares transitioning from sport to breeding. In 2021, we sold the very first embryo of Molly Malone and later the first foal of Sancha LS after her competition career. These are truly rare breeding opportunities.

You can follow your chosen embryo from start to finish, while we openly share our partners, recipient mare selection, care protocols, feeding, turnout, and foaling practices. We also prioritize reliability by offering only implanted embryos with confirmed pregnancies—never high-risk frozen embryos.
CARING PACKAGE UNTIL DIVESITURE
Scuderia SA offers the option to keep your newly purchased foal in its original environment under our professional care. Our on-site vet monitors their health, our staff ensures proper handling and socialization, and our riders can manage the breaking-in process if requested. Each horse receives an individually tailored feeding program to support healthy development.
